Sunday was the 4th and Fort Hood had a huge festival but neither one of us felt like it was something we wanted to do for a Sunday activity. I didn't even want to bother driving closer to see the fireworks. We sent the kids to bed and luckily for them, they were able to see the fireworks from their windows upstairs. It was so fun to listen to them as they would ooh and aah over the fireworks. Best part, they were in their jammies and we had no traffic to deal with. :)

4th of July
Honestly, this 4th of July I felt the least patriotic I have in years. On Saturday, July 3rd, our ward held a pancake breakfast at the church and a parade for the primary. Here's Daniel on his new scooter he got for his birthday.
Jonathan revving it up on his tricycle scooter (one of my freebie bargains)--
Amanda on her bicycle. She's doing really well with it. Her parents just need more time, less humidity, and more energy to help her practice and get the training wheels off.
Christina with a necklace she make at young women's out of buttons.
In the car on the way home, Samantha loved playing with the pinwheel she got.
The kids all had a great time that day. That night we headed over to some new friends house (they just moved into the ward) and played some games. I realized how much I've missed socializing like that. We need to get back to doing things like that after the baby comes.
