Ethan's surgery

Part of the reason my mom flew out early was to be here to help with the older kids when Ethan had surgery on Monday, February 13.  Showing off his little hospital pjs--

 We are so grateful that Dad got to be here for this surgery.

 Ethan had tubes put in his ears since he has had fluid behind his right ear since at least August that wouldn't drain on its own.  He had a much harder time coming out of anesthesia this time.  It was hard to hold him as he flopped around crying because he didn't feel good.  I was glad when we got to go to the recovery room and stay there with Dad for a bit.

When we got home, he adjusted back fairly quickly and is his usual happy self now.
