Visitors! Part 1

Last week we were happy to have our first visitors. My parents came to visit from Wyoming (Mom was glad to be out of the snow). They flew into San Antonio on Thursday and drove up to see us. We were able to take them around Fort Hood on Friday and show them some of the sights and what our life is like here. It was nice to have "the Tank" so we all could fit in one car. We even let the kids miss Friday and Monday school so they could spend time with Grandpa & Grandma.Samantha finally said "Grandma" and would often say "Grandmapa" to try to combine the two. She was very happy to see grandma again.

At one of the museums.
Samantha did great holding on to grandma's hand so she wouldn't get lost.
It was great timing because Clay actually had a four day weekend so we were able to all be together.
Friday afternoon, they headed back to San Antonio so my dad could attend his conference early the next day (the reason for the trip). We packed and did laundry so we could come join them the next day.

Saturday morning we took Christina to the church so she could go on the ward youth temple trip and we loaded the car and headed that way as well. We dropped the other kids off at my parent's hotel and Clay and I headed to the temple. It's been since August since we were able to attend together so it was quite a blessing and much enjoyed.

We picked up Christina and headed back to downtown to get the other kids and my parents. While my dad finished his sessions for the day, we took my mom to Fort Sam Houston so she could see where Clay was there. When dad was done, we picked him up and ended up heading to Mi Tierra for dinner. It was a two hour long wait and the kids had so much fun running all over in the Mexican plaza at Market Place while we waited. They definitely worked up an appetite. It was 9 pm before we sat down to eat. Crazy but everyone had a fun time and the kids did really well considering. They all crashed, after we dropped off grandpa and grandma, as we headed to the Carr's home to sleep for the night.
