Marriage Retreat

Thursday, August 17th we registered Christina for Copperas Cove High School.  We were going to home school her this year (for various reasons) but that morning we found out she was put on a waitlist for home school.  So we have her registered.  In High School.  Where did the time go?

That evening, we went to San Antonio for a marriage retreat with Clay's unit.  It was good to get away and even better to spend time as a family.  Thank goodness for timers on cameras.  :)

We got away a lot later than we planned on but we made it.  Some days that's what counts. 

We were planning on going swimming as a family there at the pool in the hotel.  Unfortunately someone (me) forgot to pack swim diapers so Ethan and I had to sit on the side.  He had his swimming suit and we tried to see if we could buy any in the little store at the hotel or if they had any.  Nope.  :(

But I got pictures instead.

Jonathan was so thoughtful that he kept bringing some water up for Ethan so he could have some to play with too.

It was a fun trip.  We were able to stop by my aunt & uncles' home on the way back up on Saturday.  It was good to see them again.

Then it was time to try to find a new schedule for school to start the next Monday.
