Christmas cookies

One of the traditions we have is to make sugar cookies and decorate them on Christmas Eve. This year we got to do it with cousins (and Aunt Kimberly) which makes it even funner.

Christina was showing Samantha, Kimberly, and Charlie how to do it. Amanda, Christina, and Barbra decorating cookies.
Samantha really got into this year. Her pajamas weren't the cleanest at the end but she had so much fun. Especially with the sprinkles.
Then the kids were all ready for bed, hyped up with sugar and visions of Santa racing in their heads. Grandpa and Grandma Beck (my parents) also arrived that night with their dog, Lex.

Kimberly found this cool website that shows Santa's location so we tracked him for a while. When he got to Colorado Springs (an hour away), the kids raced to bed. I was amazed how quickly they all fell asleep but they were getting pretty exhausted at this point from being off their usual routines.

Christmas Eve was nice because basically all the presents were wrapped. I had wrapped all of ours before we left to make it easier to pack things without being seen.

Santa made his visit later that night.
That's what happens when you have 13 people (and 2 dogs) in one house for Christmas.
